Well, we finally booked the honeymoon! 8 very full days in Costa Rica! We can't wait to celebrate the second week of marriage by relaxing on the gorgeous beaches, catching some bodacious fish, and exploring rainforests, volcanoes, and hot springs, and then returning to our little beach shack/jungle cottage to laze on a hammock or cook up the day's catch... Maybe we'll even attempt a surfing lesson, though I'm pretty sure we'd both be terrible at that. And in case any of y'all are looking for a Carribean vacation, it is a relatively very affordable place to fly and there are a ton of small jungle cottages to rent!

Movin' and Shakin'
Hi Folks,
We've had a very busy couple of weeks and wanted to share some of our progress:
By now you have received our wedding invitations which were designed with Jono Sturt (also our officiant) and printed by Debbie at Studio TEN15. They feature a map and a new family crest that we designed! We really like the way they turned out - thank you Jono and Debbie!
A few wedding gifts have already arrived at our doorstep and we're wasting no time putting them to good use! Here's a coq au vin and a bread pudding we made in our new le Cruset dishes!
Lauren and I have been getting our hands dirty with our urban agriculture project. This was our first day on site cleaning up the lot for in ground gardening and planning our aquaponics greenhouse! Check out more here!
There are many more updates to follow including Lauren's bridal showers, Kyle's bachelor party in Montreal, and our finalized honeymoon plans for Costa Rica!

Bonfire!
And while I'm at it... here is a little preview of what you can look forward to late night on June 9th! This is from last November at the farm - hauled some good logs down to the brush pile on mom and dad's new huskavarna and roasted up some scallops! Hopefully we'll get a clear night like this!
Champagne Supernova
Dear bachelorette party guests,
Thank you all for the most amazing weekend I could possibly imagine!!! Here are the only pictures I took the entire weekend. (Which is telling of how much fun I was having - no time for the camera!) Except that it is missing Robin and I can't really see Laura, it is the happiest picture I have ever taken. Just look at you guys: you are the best!! And shout out to the girls who couldn't come - I missed you!! Maybe I'll just photoshop you in there. Love you all so much!!

Ready to Burst
here's an early look at Lauren's window box farm (all the land we've got so far!). Happy spring folks. Lauren's wedding showers are next month, we've got our registry up, and invitations are out to print!
If you're buying a gift we picked out some really nice stuff that we need and will last - consider partnering up with another guest or contributing to our honeymoon!

Wedding seed bomb(s)
501 and counting. Seriously, it has been a lot of fun to make these but we may need to register for a new kitchen table. Hopefully you'll launch them into a dreary empty lot or spruce up your backyard with these wildflower seeds from Lauren's family farm.

Registry, Check!
We are prepared to unleash our registry onto the world. You can find it under Honeymoon+Registry or as one of the quick links on the side over there.
We picked a site that would allow us to select from anywhere on the internet - so it was quite an experience!
Most importantly, we were able to set up cash donations to several initiatives that are important in our lives - like a downpayment on a home!
